Look at the rod I caught this one on.  My big surf rod broke at the reel seat on the first cast, so I had to use my light trout rod.  Casting a 6-inch piece of sardine and a 3-ounce weight with that rod was tricky; but it proved profitable!

It took me 45 minutes to land that fish; and it weighed just over 50 lbs.  Caught it at Sea Rim Park near Sabine Pass.
